International Atomic Energy Agency

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is widely known as the world’s “Atoms for Peace” organisation within the United Nations family. Set up in 1957 as the world’s centre for cooperation in the nuclear field, the Agency works with its Member States and multiple partners worldwide to promote the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear technologies. Some topics may be, but not limited to; the prevention of nuclear accidents, the safe disposal of atomic waste and the prevention of nuclear weapon use.

Nuclear energy, does it ring a bell? Fukushima? Chernobyl? The enemy of all humans; the energy source that will kill us all. But is that truly the case with many studies proving that nuclear energy could save the word and prevent the furthering global warming? Should we push nuclear energy to the side or face and solve its problems and benefit from this green energy? Heated debates await you. Join the debate! Join the IAEA!
